I actually think that the immune system is another one of those things that when we look at the levels of complexity and the levels of diversity which it entails is just astronomical in the sense that our immune system can identify thousands upon thousands of different types of foreign invaders, microbes. For this to be a reality to me suggests that a Mind that's far more intelligent than ours, that we could even possibly imagine, has designed a system that protects organisms as simple as bacteria to as complex as human beings. So, I don’t think it's something that could be kludged together by non-theological, non-goal oriented processes, which is all Darwinian evolution has to work with.
